Mancala

Mancala is an ancient African game which is ideal for anyone from the age of 5 years upwards. This strategy game teaches the younger ones  to think holistically/ strategically and develops mathematical skills combined with fine motor skills. It’s a game that can take as little as 5 minutes to play ,but you will find it can be played for hours.

Frequently it can be brought out after dinner and played long into the evening. We have recently found that a lot of boards have been bought for the more mature person , as it has been noticed that it helps some people with their memory skills and dexterity. It also encourages young and old to play together . We make the boards out of Norfolk Oak, English Ash and Purple Heart, the choice is yours . Glass counters and a set of rules are included. We are happy to consider an alternative timber but it may affect the price a little. Please contact us directly to discuss your requirements. Instructions/ Rules can be emailed to you on purchase of a board. Please note this game is not suitable for children under the age of 3 years old.
